Each municipality has selected a route among olive trees with unique historical and environmental features that ends at an olive mill, olive farm or historic building where participants will be offered a tasting of bread, oil and typical products.

The Camminata tra gli Olivi is an opportunity to re-establish a bond between citizens and their land, a way to introduce people to the landscape of a great civilization thousands of years old, and to let the many enthusiasts of our country’s food and wine culture discover the territories of origin of the product through the olive trees and the men who guard them.

Throughout the peninsula, the rural environment that distinguishes the cultivation of the olive tree has common characteristics but at the same time different depending on the region of belonging, the initiative is therefore also a current way to promote oil tourism by focusing on the indissoluble heritage of our territories, a value that must constitute wealth for future generations, in 2018, declared by Mipaaf, the Year of Italian Food.

ARIANO IRPINO (AV)

Ariano Irpino is located in the Campanian Apennines, straddling Campania and Puglia, in a position almost equidistant between the Tyrrhenian and Adriatic seas.
