Mimosa Cake Recipe and Preparation – Women’s Day

Today, March 8, we celebrate Women’s Day, a special day.
Contedoro Olio Lo Conte wishes all women well.
They are the pillar of the family and devote themselves to it every day with love and sacrifice, sometimes taking time away from themselves.
On this occasion it is customary to give as a gift, the “MIMOSA,” a beautiful flower with a yellow color and a fresh, seductive scent.
As usual, “MIMOSA” cake is prepared, which consists of a sponge cake, Custard and Pineapple.
“MIMOSA” Cake Recipe
Ingredients Recipe:
Sponge Cake Ingredients
500g “00” flour
400g sugar
1 sachet of yeast
10 eggs
1 lemon
Pineapple
Custard Ingredients
8 Egg yolks
8 tablespoons of sugar
6 tablespoons of “00” flour
1lt of Milk
1 Sachet of Vanillin
Lemon peels
3 tablespoons of fresh cream

PREPARATION
Sponge cake preparation:
Beat the egg yolks, sugar, flour and baking powder to a foam.
Whisk the egg whites and add them to the mixture.
Then place in an oiled and floured pan and bake at 180° for 45 Minutes
Custard Preparation:
Place all the ingredients in a saucepan over low heat so that it does not thicken, when it is ready
let it cool and cover, wrapping it, with fresh cream.
As for the decoration, we take pieces of sponge cake cut into cubes or any other desired shape
and place them on the cake after which we take slices of pineapple cut into cubes or any other desired shape
and place them on the surface of the cake as well.
